Assistant Professor of Biochemistry
The Department of Chemistry and Physics at Ave Maria University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Biochemistry position beginning in the Fall of 2021. A Ph. D. or doctoral equivalent in Chemistry or Biochemistry is preferred, although candidates that are ABD will also be considered. The successful applicant will primarily be expected to teach upper-division courses in Biochemistry and introductory courses in Chemistry and may also teach introductory Biology or Cell and Molecular Biology courses as needed in conjunction with the Department of Biology. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship and are expected to engage in an active research program involving undergraduate students.

b) A curriculum vitae;
c) A research summary including how that research would involve student participation;
d) Unofficial copies of undergraduate and graduate school transcripts;
e) A statement relating the University’s Catholic mission as expressed in Ex Corde Ecclesiae (http://w2.vatican.va/content/john-paul-ii/en/apost_constitutions/documents/hf_jp-ii_apc_15081990_ex-corde-ecclesiae.html) to their philosophy of teaching.
Candidates should arrange for three letters of recommendation to be submitted in support of their application upon request.
