Ave Maria University seeks a Director of Marketing to lead a marketing team. The Director of Marketing is responsible for creating, managing, and executing multi-channel marketing plans to meet or exceed student recruitment, enrollment, and fundraising goals for Ave Maria University.

The ideal candidate has experience with lead generation, content marketing, print marketing, digital marketing, campaign management, public relations, media management, design, and brand management.  All employees must understand the mission of Catholic higher education and be committed to supporting the core values, mission, goals and objectives of Ave Maria University.

Job Duties:

·         Develop and implement marketing plans; manage multiple marketing campaigns and team members simultaneously.

·         Supervise a marketing team (marketing manager, content marketing manager, graphic designer), including hiring, training, workloads, schedules and deadlines.

·         Manage the execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns.

·         Work cross-functionally with Admissions, Academics, Development, Student Life, and Athletics departments to understand departmental goals and lead marketing team to support those departments with marketing campaigns.

·         Receive, organize, and prioritize marketing requests from other departments.

·         Work with Digital Platforms Director to manage digital marketing campaigns: email marketing and automation, paid and organic social media, SEO, paid advertising.

·         Manage print marketing projects: direct-mail marketing, print advertising, public relations and press releases, and AMU magazine.

·         Oversee corporate branding across all marketing channels.

·         Monitor costs and budget.

·         Manage agency providers, consultants, freelancers, printers and other suppliers, including contract negotiation and management.

·         Work with Vice President of Marketing to promote the Ave Maria monthly giving society.

·         Work with Vice President of Marketing to develop marketing strategies.

·         5-10 Years Marketing Experience

·         Experience Leading a Team

·         Experience leading B2C marketing campaigns

·         Experience managing a marketing budget

·         Experience with email marketing, social media marketing, design, PR, lead generation, market research, digital marketing, print marketing, marketing automation, web optimization, and marketing technology.


·         Bachelor’s Degree required

Salary and Benefits:

$70,000-$80,000 annually
