TITLE: Advancement Services Assistant DEPARTMENT: Advancement

REPORTS TO: Director of Advancement Services


GENERAL DESCRIPTION: By enabling Christendom’s benefactors to exceed their meaningful philanthropic goals, the college’s Advancement Team makes possible our vibrant community, faith-life, and challenging academics. The Advancement Services Assistant supports the operations of the Advancement Office, ensuring that donors’ gifts are correctly processed, that donors are thanked in a timely and appropriate manner, and that donor records are properly maintained. In addition, as new systems are adopted by the Office, the Advancement Services Assistant will gain proficiency in their use, possibly holding the direct responsibility to manage said systems.



Occasional supervision of student employees

  • Creates Constituent records in the Raisers Edge database for new donors
  • Assists the Gift Processing & Ack. Coordinator in entering gifts and assigning Thank You Actions to Philanthropy Officers and student employees
  • Assists the Director of Advancement Services in providing data for automated Thank You processes
  • Performs tasks in the Raisers Edge database such a generating mailing lists and running processes using pre-built queries
  • The Assistant will also commit to significant training and skill growth to enable increased contributions to the office.
  • The Assistant will learn database skills and management and, depending on aptitude and desire, will develop skills and assist in one or more of the following areas: data analysis, process development, data integrity, data reporting, and the development of information systems

  • Preferred experience working with data-entry and/or database systems
  • A Bachelors Degree

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to make quick decisions.
  • Must be calm in stressful situations.
