JOB POSTING – MANAGEMENT POSITION
The Department of Accounting, Business Administration, and Economics at Franciscan University of Steubenville (FUS) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment at the rank of assistant professor. Candidates at other ranks or professor of practice (non-tenure track) will also be considered. This vital business faculty position would begin either August 2023 or January 2024. The preferred new faculty member would either be an experienced faculty member teaching management and leadership courses or a top management business leader with experience that can be applied in the academic environment and with a commitment to the responsibilities involved with a full-time faculty role. The candidate should have teaching experience, a commitment to the Franciscan University mission, and a vision for how to support excellence and innovation in a business management degree program at a passionately Catholic university.

MAJOR RESPONSILITIES:
Teach primarily mid- and upper-level undergraduate business courses with a focus on management, leadership, teamwork, and communications. The role may also require teaching the occasional introductory level business course and in our MBA program.
Provide oversight and strategic vision to the undergraduate management program
Provide students with a business educational experience that is grounded in real-world best practice and which incorporates the Catholic intellectual tradition.
Support and connect students with business internship opportunities
Collaborate with faculty on program development initiatives
Participate with program accreditation duties
Advise and mentor business students
Engage in university service and scholarly activity as fitting to the department expectations
QUALIFICATIONS
Doctoral Degree in business management or leadership preferred (tenure track), or
A graduate degree in a business discipline with a track record of significant real-world organizational leadership experience (non-tenure track).
