Full Time. Tenure Track.  Start date:  August 2023.



Full time, tenure track Assistant Professor position beginning August 2023 in the Communication Arts Department to teach undergraduate courses in digital video production and editing, mass media, news, management, religious media, among other courses.


Preference will be given to candidates with significant experience teaching a wide range of digital media courses using a variety of contemporary production and editing tools like AVID Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and other Adobe Creative Cloud.


Duties include video studio lab supervision and advising the FranciscanBeat student news channel.  Research and creative work are required.  A Ph.D. in the field with instruction experience is required, but an MFA with significant professional experience will be considered. Video editing certification is a plus.
