Candidates for graduate adjunct faculty must hold a doctoral degree in the relevant subject area. Candidates for undergraduate adjunct faculty must hold at least a master’s degree with at least 18 credit hours in the relevant subject area (candidates with doctoral degrees strongly preferred). Degrees must be from institutions holding regional or ATS accreditation.

Candidates must have previous college-level teaching experience. Previous asynchronous online teaching experience is highly desired for those applying to teach in the online program. Candidates for online teaching positions must be willing to teach asynchronous online courses. Holy Apostles does not currently offer synchronous online courses. Candidates for on-campus adjunct faculty must be willing to teach in-
person courses at the college’s campus in Cromwell, CT.

Holy Apostles is committed to hiring individuals who can advance its mission to form and educate students – laity, seminarians, clergy, and religious – as missionary disciples, servant leaders, and “co-workers in the vineyard.” An authentic Catholic identity is at the heart of the college’s mission. This Catholic identity is expressed in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (1992) and Pope Saint John Paul II’s Ex Corde Ecclesiae. Faculty candidates must consider whether their professional goals, practices, and values align with these documents.

Due to Holy Apostles’ status as a Catholic seminary, Canon Law requires that candidates in pastoral studies, philosophy, and theology must be practicing Catholics willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium and make the Profession of Faith.
