Adjunct Professor – Project Management
The Gary Tharaldson School of Business at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND is seeking a part-time adjunct professor to teach an undergraduate course in Project Management one night per week during the Spring 2024 term. Candidates must have expertise in project management and have PMI certification.
All faculty are expected to demonstrate a willingness to support and advance the Christian, Catholic, and Benedictine mission and identity of the University of Mary (see http://www.umary.edu/about/mission/missionidentity.php ).
Responsibilities Include:
• Preparing and delivering undergraduate instruction to achieve course objectives
• Facilitating discussions and learning in the classroom
• Interacting with students outside the classroom via a course management system
• Assessing student performance and providing feedback in a timely manner
• Interacting positively and effectively with faculty, staff, and students to improve program operating practices and outcomes
Qualifications and Requirements Include:
• Master’s degree required; terminal business degree preferred. Those with master’s degrees in other fields are encouraged to apply if they have relevant work experience.
• PMI certification required
• Previous teaching experience preferred
• Upholds and supports the Christian, Catholic, Benedictine mission of the University of Mary
• Supports the ongoing implementation of Ex Corde Ecclesiae, the apostolic constitution on Catholic colleges and universities
• Builds a culture of ready and earnest hospitality in the Gary Tharaldson School of Business and throughout the university, in accord with Saint Benedict’s admonition that all be received as Christ
