Website Marketing Specialist

 

The University of Mary in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Website Marketing Specialist. This position will create, monitor, and maintain the functionality of the various systems and applications of the university’s website. This role works directly with the Creative Services Team to align website management efforts with broader marketing and communication strategies.

 

Candidates will be invited to demonstrate a willingness to support the Christian, Catholic, Benedictine mission of the University of Mary.

 

Essential Roles and Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop, test, implement, and maintain the university’s websites and sub-sites through the web-based Content Management System (CMS) and WordPress Installations (OU Campus and WordPress)
  • Manages projects with internal partners and inter-departmental teams to ensure project deadlines are achieved with quality results
  • Creates and maintains accurate website content that is optimized for web, search, and online ad campaigns
  • Integrates third-party web applications such as the event calendar, form embeds, RSS feeds, video content, etc.
  • Manages projects with internal partners and inter-departmental teams to ensure project deadlines are achieved with quality results
  • Understands the brand standards at a level that allows creative design assistance to the team
  • Remains current with new strategies for website enhancements and search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Creates digital (online) registration forms using Wufoo to support university events

Desired Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience include:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, web development, graphic design, communications, or another related field is required
  • A minimum of 3 or more years of digital marketing or website management experience is required
  • Upholds and supports the Christian, Catholic, Benedictine mission of the University of Mary
  • Supports the ongoing implementation of Ex Corde Ecclesiae, the apostolic constitution on Catholic colleges and universities
  • Builds a culture of ready and earnest hospitality in the Office of Public Affairs and throughout the university, in accord with Saint Benedict’s admonition that all be received as Christ

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is preferred
  • Working knowledge and basic analytical skills in Google Analytics or a similar reporting tool
  • Working knowledge of online registration form creation using Wufoo or a similar tool
  • Working knowledge of web-based Content Management Systems (CMS), WordPress, HTML. CSS, HTACCESS files, domain purchasing/management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
