HR Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join the UST Human Resources team. The HR Assistant will support the AVP of HR and the department in various administrative tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a strong understanding of HR processes and best practices. Reports to: AVP of HR.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Administrative Support:

– Assist the AVP in the day-to-day HR operations and administrative tasks.

– Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.

– Prepare and process HR documents, including employment contracts, offer letters, and onboarding materials.

2. Recruitment and Onboarding:

– Support the recruitment process by posting job ads, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.

– Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing orientation materials and conducting initial training sessions.

– Ensure all new hire paperwork is completed accurately and timely.

3. Employee Relations:

– Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.

– Help manage employee benefit programs and answer related queries.

4. Compliance and Record-Keeping:

– Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

– Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.

– Assist with audits and compliance checks as needed.

5. HR Projects and Initiatives:

– Participate in HR projects and initiatives, such as performance management, training, and development programs.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

– Proven experience as an HR Assistant, HR Coordinator, or similar role.

– Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

– Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR software (e.g., HRIS).

– Knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations is a plus.

– High level of discretion and professionalism.
