Target start date is the fall 2022 semester.

General Description:

The Department of Marketing and Management is seeking a generalist. Specialty is open, though the candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate majors and masters-level coursework.

The successful candidate will have a terminal degree in either Management or Marketing. Minimum of 2 years of classroom experience required.

Applicants to be considered must provide a comprehensive resume and cover letter, evidence of a commitment to teaching excellence, three professional references, and a statement demonstrating their understanding and willingness to support the tenets of Catholic higher education as articulated in Ex Corde Ecclesiae.

Hiring for Mission:

The University of Saint Thomas is committed to hiring faculty who can help it not only fulfill its integrated mission’the formation of the whole person for flourishing in this life and the next’but also advance it in new ways. The University’s Catholic identity is at the center of this mission, a Catholicism expressed for our own age by the Catechism of the Catholic Church (1992), and Pope Saint John Paul II’s Ex Corde Ecclesiae. The University asks all candidates applying for a faculty position to consider these documents to ensure that their professional goals and practices can align with them.

Applicants need to be able to support joyfully and professionally the University as it seeks to be faithful to and embody the robust Catholicism–in its intellectual, doctrinal, moral, and spiritual dimensions–expressed by the Catechism and Ex Corde Ecclesiae and through the riches of the Catholic intellectual tradition. This vision of Catholic education, which is animated by the great Catholic intellectual and spiritual traditions, receives further depth and orientation from the thinking of Alasdair MacIntyre, Cardinal Newman, Benedict XVI, John Paul II, Josef Pieper, Thomas Aquinas, Hugh of St. Victor, Augustine, and their classical forebears.
