The University of St. Thomas (UST), a private Catholic University committed to the liberal arts and the religious and intellectual tradition of Catholic higher education, located in Houston, Texas, near the vibrant central business district, Texas Medical Center, and museum district, is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty member at the level of Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology.


Summary: This will be a full-time, non-tenure track position at the level of Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology beginning fall 2021. To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a doctorate in Psychology. Area of specialization is open but someone with a background in research, statistics, sports psychology, social psychology, and/or I/O psychology is preferred. ABD will be considered but the degree must be completed by the time of appointment. Candidates with demonstrated record of student engagement, strong teaching evaluations, and research will be given priority. This position will teach required courses, as determined by the Department Chair, as well as have the freedom to propose new courses that fit their expertise and interests. The successful candidate will also conduct service work within the department and university.
