Adjunct Faculty in Education at Ave Maria University

The Department of Education at Ave Maria University seeks to develop a pool of talented potential adjunct faculty to teach various courses in-person on an as-needed basis. Specific responsibilities include planning and teaching undergraduate courses as part of the Elementary Education degree program, which leads students to Florida Department of Education professional teaching licensure, as well as preparing syllabi and instruction materials, maintaining highest possible standards of classroom instruction, evaluating student performance, and keeping abreast of new information and developments in the field of education.  Knowledge of the Florida Educator Accomplished Practices, Florida Standards for Learning, Catholic Curriculum Standards, and Gravissimum Educationis and a variety of experiences in Catholic, Classical, and/or public schools are desired.


Successful candidates will demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship. A doctorate degree from an accredited institution is preferred as well as a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate with Reading and ESOL endorsements.
