Overview
Saint Rita School in Alexandria, Virginia, is a Catholic school in the Classical tradition. Built on a strong parish community of dynamic and engaged families, our school invites our 250 preschool to eighth grade students into a deeper relationship with Christ. We prioritize faith formation, character development, and the richness of a rigorous classical curriculum based on the history and master works of the Western tradition. Through a quest for goodness, truth, and beauty, we challenge our children to read, think, write, and speak clearly so they can navigate the confusion of the world and become the saints God made them to be.
Saint Rita is seeking a joyful Catholic educator, excited about our classical curriculum, to serve as principal of our school for the 2023-2024 school year and beyond. Applicants should have strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to tackle any challenges of school life while always keeping the focus on the hearts, minds, and souls of our students. Minimum professional requirements include five years of teaching experience and a Master’s Degree in School Administration or another content area with the required coursework in education. All necessary Virginia and Diocesean certifications must be obtained within three years of hire. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and Diocesan guidelines. The position begins July 1, 2023.
