Building Manager – Fargo
The University of Mary is seeking a qualified property manager for our Fargo campus. This position will ensure that day-to-day custodial operations and events are carried out in a timely, efficient, and effective manner and serve as the liaison to the building occupants and contractors.
Candidates will be invited to demonstrate a willingness to support the Christian, Catholic, Benedictine mission of the University of Mary.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities Include:
• Perform custodial duties 5 times a week and tenant spaces 3 times a week
• Perform general maintenance duties as well as preventive maintenance tasks as needed, including changing filters, fire and safety inspections, painting, carpet replacement, minor plumbing and electrical, etc.
• Serve as department liaison to building occupants, resolve tenant complaints, show the property to potential tenants, and assist with tenant move in/out
• Work with contractors for maintenance contracts, security, trash, snow removal, and other service providers.
• Provides 24/7 response to maintenance emergencies
• Perform grounds activities including lawn mowing, edging, trash clean up, snow removal, etc.
• Other related duties as requested or assigned
Desired Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience include:
• Required
• High School diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Preferred:
• Property manager or related experience preferred
• Maintenance and general plumbing, electrical repair knowledge
• Working knowledge of inventory management, principles, and practices
• Upholds and supports the Christian, Catholic, Benedictine mission of the University of Mary
• Supports the ongoing implementation of Ex Corde Ecclesiae, the apostolic constitution on Catholic colleges and universities
• Builds a culture of ready and earnest hospitality in the Department of Physical Plant and throughout the university, in accord with Saint Benedict’s admonition that all be received as Christ
Knowledge and Skills Required:
• Working knowledge of custodial chemicals, methods, and project cleaning
• Working knowledge of basic equipment used to perform work
• Awareness of proper safety measures needed for the work environment
• Strong working knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, codes, and/or statutes related to the use of cleaning agents, environmental/hazardous waste, waste management, and recycling policies and regulations

Major Gifts Officer
The Major Gifts Officer secures funds for the organization by managing a group of assigned, qualified donors (caseload), ensuring as many as possible are retained as continuing donors to the organization and are upgraded in their giving and involvement. This role requires the ability to travel both locally and nationally on a regular basis and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as expected.
Candidates will be invited to demonstrate a willingness to support the Christian, Catholic, Benedictine mission of the University of Mary.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities Include:
• Qualify and maintain a caseload of 100-150 Major Gift donors
• Create individual goals and cultivation plans for each donor in the caseload based on capacity and affinity to the University. In a timely and methodical manner, the MGO will execute these plans
• Work with constituent groups within the University the MGO will gather case information and create compelling "Case for support" documents
• Coordinate cultivation and solicitation visits with donor/University staff as needed
• Serve as a resource to other Mission Advancement Staff in the identification and cultivation of supporters
• Prepares and submits a monthly dashboard report to the Asst. VP of Mission Advancement
• Performs other related duties as requested and assigned
Desired Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience include:

Knowledge and Skills Required:
• Bachelor's degree required
• Master's degree preferred
• Required qualifications include a minimum of 5 years of experience successfully cultivating and soliciting six and seven figure gifts for both restricted and unrestricted campaigns and previous experience balancing annual needs with ambitious capital campaign goals and donor priorities.
• Preferred qualifications include 10 years of experience successfully cultivating and soliciting six and seven figure gifts, a CFRE credential or other advanced credentials, and/or experience creating planned giving programs.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, analytical, problem solving, and time management skills.
• Understanding of direct marketing principles and relational donor bases
• Working knowledge of planned giving methods
• Thorough understanding of the Donor Bill of Rights
