The University of St. Thomas is committed to hiring faculty who can help fulfill its integrated mission – the formation of the whole person for flourishing in this life and the next. While applicants need not be Catholic, they must be able to support the University as it seeks to be faithful to and embody the riches of the Catholic intellectual tradition.
Relevant to this, the University requires all candidates to submit with their application a reflection on Ex Corde Ecclesiae, the Church document outlining the mission and identity of Catholic universities worldwide (the document is available here). In particular, paragraph 13 of the document outlines the four essential characteristics of a Catholic university. A discussion of how the applicant’s background, experience, and interests would support these characteristics would be especially welcome.
The University of St. Thomas is an Equal Opportunity Employer
