Overview

POSITION: Open rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Scripture, full-time, benefits included, tenure-track

QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Scripture (ABD considered at rank of instructor), graduate and undergraduate teaching experience preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching responsibilities including Scripture, Old and New Testament Scriptures; teaching experience preferred. Professor will teach in the undergraduate, graduate, and seminary programs of the University of St. Thomas; other teaching and administrative duties as assigned.

POSITION DETAILS: Nine or twelve-month contract with a minimum of 24 semester-hours per academic year. Salary will be determined by consideration of education and experience. Applicants must have a pedagogical conviction aligning with the Magisterial teaching of the Roman Catholic Church and adherence to Ex Corde Ecclesiae, as well as a demonstrated ability and desire to teach Scripture. Candidates will have a strong commitment to providing superior teaching in both on-campus and online formats, and will also exhibit genuine enthusiasm for advising and mentoring students.

APPOINTMENT DATE: Position begins mid-August 2024. The University of St. Thomas reserves the right to fill the position at any time or keep the position open.
